West Central Division

one time again, Mother Nature cooperated with splendid weather for the West Central Division competition weekend! The pupils parents and teachers were treated to generous hospitality through many Colorado members, and we wish to thank our University of Colorado-Boulder entertainers David Korevaar and Andrew Coopersrock NCTM We especially recognize the chairs: Katherine Keim, NCTM local; Cheryl Staats, NCTM hospitality; and Sylvia White, NCTM monitor. A special thank you to Judy Bonnell CMTA president, for her assistance in each way. The competitions could not happen exclude for the generous efforts of our present staff: chair David Piersel and coordinators Paul Re NCTM William Lipke and Diana Skroch NCTM

The division also congratulates Eileen Geske of North Dakota for being named MTNA Teacher of the Year for 2004 not absented at the Awards Brunch during the National conversation in Kansas City, the award recognizes teachers who advance beyond the call of what one is bound [i]or[/i] under obligation to do to exemplify excellence in music teaching.

Summer discourses from our division include Colorado, June 3-5 2004 at Silver inlet with artist Lori Simms; Minnesota, June 7-8 at Northwestern guild with artists Christopher O'Riley and Maria Rantapaa; and Iowa, June 6-8 at Graceland University in Lamoni with visitors Ralph Votapek, The Roo Doo Piano duo team, Tony Caramia and Joyce Grill, NCTM
