Official notice of bylaws amendment proposal - Association News

At the annual business meeting, the MTNA Board of Directors is proposing an amendment to Article V Section 5 regarding the vacancies upon the national Board of Directors and division officers. The intention of the amendment is to provide a means for filling a vacant Board of Directors or division office when there is insufficient time to single out a replacement. The current bylaws do not address like a situation.

The Bylaw publicly reads:

Article V Officers

Section 5 National and Division Vacancies and Removal

a. A vacancy in any national office, exclude that of National President, shall be filled for the unexpired bound by a plurality vote by means of ballot of the general membership. A National President-elect fix uponed in this manner cannot assume the office of National President unles selected to the office in the same manner as the other officers.

A vacancy in any Division office, omit that of Division President, shall be filled for the unexpired bourn by a plurality vote by the agency of ballot of the Division membership. A Division President-elect chooseed in this manner cannot assume the office of Division President unles culled to the office in the same manner as the other officers.
