Children's evaluations of peer influence: the role of relationship type and social situation.

Second- third-, fifth-, and sixth-grade children evaluated matchs portrayed as either best friends or acquaintances engaged in five different equal pressure scenarios (e.g., modeling, positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, apt referent).
