Kingsville announces piano and concerto competitions - Competitions - Brief ArticleThe Music cudgel of Kingsville, Inc., will clinch its annual Kingsville International Competitions--The Young Performers Concerto and Isabel Scionti Piano Solo--April 1-3 2004 upon the campus of the Texas A&M University-Kingsville. More than $24000 in prize currency is available for distribution to winners in various litigates The highest-ranking winner will receive a minimum of $5000 and a performance with the Corpus Christi music Orchestra or the Victoria, Texas, harmony Orchestra. Separate call in questions will be held in sum of two units divisions: junior (up to age 19) and senior (ages 19-26) The junior and senior prizes presented in each of the six preliminary debates and in the piano solo contest--piano concerto, bowed instrument concerto, non-bowed instrument concerto and piano solo--are $1000 for first place, $500 for next to the first place and $200 for third place respectively. Additional special prizes include the $500 justice Woodrow Laughlin Award for best piano concerto performance and other prizes for bowed and non-bowed instruments.
