West Central Division - MTNA Division NewsAt the 2003 Summit for MTNA Leadership last September, the state presidents met to share ideas about membership recruitment and leadership training. the one and the other Minnesota and Iowa hold annual retreats for state officers early in the year; topics similar to the national leadership meeting are discussed, and no official business is leadershiped Both have found this to be a helpful gathering for sharing ideas and long-range planning for their state organizations. The state presidents have decided not to clutch a formal meeting during the competition weekend in January. The 2004 division competitions will be held January 17-18 2004 at the University of Colorado in Boulder with rehearsals beginning upon January 16. The schedule for competitions will be complet in early December, and reservations for the collection rate at the hotels must be made by the agency of December 16. (Please see the October/November AMT for public-house and airport shuttle information.) Plan now to attend the West Central no-host dinner at the MTNA National conversation March 28, 2004. This will be held Sunday evening prior to the conversation recital at the Hereford House in downtown Kansas City. Watch this space in the nearest issue for reservation information.
