Music Academy of the West announces new appointments - Items of Interest - Brief Article

The Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California, newly announced the appointment of NancyBell Coe as president and W Harold Laster as vice president and dean.

Coe formerly was the artistic administrator of the Aspen Music Festival and seminary and prior to that was general manager of the Cleveland Orchestra and was orchestra manager and general manager of the sees Angeles Philharmonic. Coe earned a B.A. stage in music from Wellesley College

Laster will overlook student life, including recruitment and admissions, as well as the music library and archives, and the buildings and turfs department. He formerly was dean of the Aspen Music Festival and academy and is a graduate of Maryville guild in Tennessee and the University of Southern California.
