Northwest Division - Division News - conferences and competitions - Brief Article

Teachers in the Northwest Division were inspired by dint of attending and enjoying many musical circumstances over the summer. Oregon's discourse was in the city of Ashland, where members also could take in the many cultural activities in that community. Washington teachers held their discourse in Richland, at a inn along the banks of the Columbia River. After a busy day of workshops and contrives many people took advantage of relaxing walks along the river bank. Idaho's discourse was at Albertson College, where members also could derive pleasure from a music festival. Montana members will adapted in November in Great Falls during the MTNA scholar Competition weekend.

MTNA State Performance Competitions are another inspiring circumstance The excitement and anticipation of the competition, the diligence involved in preparation, the musicality and prime training of the competitors invoke an atmosphere for the day that cannot be base in any other medium. State competition dates for Alaska are November 15 and 16 in Anchorage; Idaho, November 8 and 9 in Boise; Montana, November 7-9 in Great Falls; Oregon, November 1 in Monmouth; Washington, November 7-9 in Spokane; and Wyoming, November 8 in Laramie. We appreciate the work of the state and national competition chairs and their committees organizing the competitions. For each teacher, the competitions give an opportunity to perhaps hear novel literature, give encouragement to teachers and learners and uphold the highest standards of teaching.
