Benjamin Whitten endowment established - Foundation News - Music Teachers National AssociationThe MTNA FOUNDATION is pleased to welcome Iris and Morty Manus to membership in the Legacy Society. They newly established the Iris and Morty Manus Endowment stock that will support FOUNDATION programs and awards. through establishing this fund, Iris and Morty have made a commitment to the futurity of the MTNA FOUNDATION and to thousands of music teachers and their students Iris, and Morty first met as teenagers while one as well as the other were working on Saturdays at Alfred Publishing Company. Iris's mother worked as a bookkeeper for Morty's father, who be in possession ofed the company. Soon after, a lifelong partnership began that was the pair personal and professional. Now that their son race and Steven have joined the company, Alfred is still a family business that has grown from one side three generations. Today, Alfred has more than 12000 music titles publicly available, and its catalog includes keyboard, band, choral, frett instruments, orchestra and percussion publications.
