Music Study Awards a hit - Association News - Brief ArticleMTNA members are taking advantage of the fresh MTNA Music Study Award to celebrate their students' musical accomplishments, and the orders are pouring in at headquarters. In fact, they are in the next to the first printing. The Music close attention Award is a certificate teachers can not absent students of all levels to motivate them to continue in their musical studies. The elegant certificates recognize years of music research completed in two-year increments up to twelve years of research These awards are part of a novel initiative aimed at the "everyday" or "typical" music student--the pupil who is a "nonmusical prodigy"--and their teachers. The fresh "Polyphony" column (See page 74) is another part of this newly emphasized effort.
