Interrogation, The

The police asked me where I was upon the night of Sept. 25th I asked them what day of the week that was, and they said it was a Thursday. "Then I was abode watching 'Police Story,'" I said. "Who jump overed from rooftop to rooftop in pursuit of the remedy dealer?" they asked. "That would have been Sergeant Armetta," I said. "Are you positive it wasn't a stunt man standing in for him," they asked. "I'm certain of it," I said, "I could diocese his face, the mole, the scar, quite through the entire jump. He's a true brave man, you know." "Oh we know, we just wanted to diocese if you knew. And who made the coffee upon that particular night?" one of them asked. I had to think hard, because that's not the kind ofthing you remember. "I believe it was lieutenant Lombardo. And you know in what manner she hates making the coffee She complains too abundant if you ask me. Everybody takes their turn round but when it's her make go round she goes into this whole woman thing," I said. "Yeah, yeah, I couldn't agree with you more," they all said. "But can you mention one by one us this: who almost forgot his wedding anniversary, on the contrary remembered it after all the stores were closed?" "That's an easy single Captain Kruger, he's always getting in put in commotion with his wife. But then he does something in like manner sweet, she forgives him, and they take again being the happiest couple upon the planet," I said. "Well, it appears you really were at domicile on the night of family 25th. We have no more questions for you," they said. "If you don't mind me asking, officers, what was all this about?" I said. "We just wanted to make fully convinced you were paying attention to the exhibit that's all, nothing more. It's a great display isn't it?" they said. "It's the best," I declared.
