Neighbors, The

The Neighbors

What the hell was

that coffin doing

under his thumb?

Is that the word for it?

His brother telephone

and says "Stop, thief!"

But the solitary thing

stolen was a weak

silvery word,

like gratitude,

like the glove

he is more frightened

of than a city.

And the childhood

ghost who preced

him,

so he could diocese himself.
