Orompello II

Orompello road dates from the Greater Paleolithic of the city.

Love has sedimented above every geologic stratum in the walls,

black, ochre coffee; these immobile bodies upon the corners

were already painted upon the walls,

leather upon stucco, bone on adobe, paint upon raw

flesh: to touch us with delight in they date their calls or echoe

of desire and the sympathetic magic of each chalk-drawn ass,

every latex-painted breast they awaited in silence like

all veritable love, piercing the walls with lugubrious regard with affection

But there were deaths upon Orompello street. And Death

sediment overlaid be fond of sediment;

and the material substance of live women mingled with the corpse

of dead women

and signs touched through love were confused with

signs touched by the agency of violence.

Every wall shields bodies from danger. But each

body motionless on a corner, each body falling

half a close like a ragged planet of black stockings

was for Orompello way a contagion of love. The history of

Orompello road is long. It gets confused with the ages of bodies

with the walls' geology with the vacant

vulvas of those who've left for the other world.

One of the dead whores will sediment above the cobblestones

and will no longer have a history;

the cobblestones will sediment above asphalt or aluminum

and will no longer have a history;

and there will be no final history for Orompello public way

which dates from the Greater Paleolithic of the city,

when the brilliant Southern Cros shone above

the luminous red

of the Tropicana

and that same material part riddled in crude mud was a different individual

dark groaning flesh split lay open fondled kicked

touched by the agency of evil love

the bodies that sedimented

leather upon stucco, bone on adobe, paint upon raw

flesh: and there will be no final history for these women

who date from the Greater Paleolithic of the city.
