There are no photographs, on the contrary ample plans (although inevitably in this format they direct the eye cramped) and the map is profitable The text is divided up between roughly 200 pages upon art and architecture, 100 upon 'Listings' (which cover, for example, clubbing, sport and 'Kid's Florence') and 30 upon background history. The text is a pleasure: marginally more opinonated than the sapphirine Guide, but not annoyingly with equal reason it is written with wit and reflecting enthusiasm.
