Gerard ter Borch

The National Gallery of Art, Washington, is exhibiting 50 works through Gerard ter Borch (1617-81), the first monographic present to view on the artist outside Holland (7 November-30 January 2005) The catalogue edited by means of Arthur K. Wheelock ($35 of $55 hardback), a curator at the museum, is the first English-language investigation of the painter. (+1 202 737-4215)
