Mirror, death, and rhetoric: reading later Han Chinese bronze artifactsEUGENE YUEJIN WANG, "Mirror, Death, and Rhetoric: Reading Later Han Chinese and zinc Artifacts" The paper starts by means of exploring the relationship between the millennia-old mirror metaphor and actual and zinc mirrors. Early Chinese mirrors typically feature motifs involving the search for immortality with small in number moral overtones. The mirrors below study here, however, represent history by the agency of featuring a graphic suicide.
