Lynden Tripp

Inspired by dint of the quiet natural beauty and the gallant colorful drama of Hawaii, where she was born and raised, artist Lynden Tripp suffuses radiant imagery with a have affection for of nature and strong faculty of perception of design.

Before leaving the islands, she attended the Honolulu Academy of Art, and received an associate of arts stage at Maul Community College. She then mov to Northern California to attend the California association of Arts and Crafts, where she received a bachelor's of fine arts degree

Her formal art education introduced her to artistic moves such as Art Deco and Art Noveau, which prov to be an influence upon her current work. Organic, three-dimensional forms, similar as petals, leaves and fruit are combined with stout patterns and sometimes flat two-dimensional shapes for contrast and design effect

Tripp worked for many years as graphic artist before rededicating herself to her personal painting. She has focused upon watercolors, a medium which she finds immensely challenging and rewarding. The act of painting in this medium is, at the same time, soothing and frustrating, calming and unsettling.

Tripp's art has been featured upon a line of note cards, and she continues to display her work in art fairs, galleries, and in festivals where other Hawaiian expatriates have affection for and appreciate her paintings.
