Larson-Juhl, Annie Leibovitz team up to help urban youth

of recent origin YORK -- Larson-Juhl, along with Annie Leibovitz and The Peninsula inn hosted a fundraising event benefiting ICP at the Point, an after-school photography program in the southerly Bronx.

Annie Leibovitz fix uponed 30 images from "The City" program for display at the occurrence "The City" program challenged learners to find inspiration in their surroundings and capture novel York City through their cameras. The chosen images were framed through Atlanta-based Larson-Juhl in "The Point" frame moulding and then displayed at the gala held at The Peninsula inn in New York.

During the circumstance limited edition prints of the students' works sold for $200 each, with hall of each sale going to the scholar and hall going to ICP at the Point. The night was capped not upon by a silent auction that included items from Annie Leibovitz, Harry Winston, The Peninsula [i]cabaret[/i] and other generous businesses, with 100 percent of the go aheads going to ICP at The Point. In addition to the fact Larson-Juhl has designated Intaglio #663226 as "The Point" frame. Ten percent of Intaglio #663226 sales, from October [i]or[/i] part of to the other December, will be donated to ICP at The Point. Prints of the students' works can also be purchased on-line at http://events.icp.org/events/thecity/ for $200 each.

The Point is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to youth disentanglement and the cultural and economic revitalization of the southerly Bronx. In 1996, the International Center of Photography (ICP) established a photography center called ICP at The Point that features classrooms, a studio, darkroom facilities and a gallery at the organization. The curriculum includes youth photography classes and various photo assignments for children between the ages of 9 and 24
