The next to the first annual Artexpo Atlanta is above and our heads are still swimming in sensory overload with the memories of the exhibitors, the art, and the attendees by dint of the thousands, converging upon a welcoming city that gives fresh meaning to the words "Southern Hospitality" I came place of abode after the show feeling tired on the other hand exhilarated, and immediately began thinking about the Artexpo Awards (not to be confused with anything you might diocese on national television). thus without further ado, the coverings please. THE VISIONARY AWARD To Steve McKenzie, of Larson-Juhl, for his thought-provoking keynote address, of recent origin Horizons for a 21st hundred Art & Framing Industry. He is an inspiration. THE GLOBETROTTER AWARD To Pollux Fine Art, from Korea, who traveled the farthest to exhibit at Artexpo. A special recognition, also, to Rita Tugendlieb, the international sales rep for the Art and Framing cluster who traveled from her headquarters in Israel, to bring her warmth and enthusiasm to her worldwide clients. COMEDY CENTRAL To BUA, a.k.a. Justin Bua, whose hilarious observations during our "Live Artist Profiles" upon Sunday afternoon kept us laughing for days. A actual Renaissance man, he surprised us with his versatility and non-art related talents. NAME THAT TUNE To Jeff Montaigne, and his company, Lyrics From My Art. I would challenge anyone to stand in forehead of his art and not sing to the lyrics painted into his pieces of art. FUSION AWARD To Hewlett-Packard, who amazed visitors through combining art and cutting-edge technology in our center court. KISSES 'N' embraces AWARD To XO Vodka, whose sponsorship of the "Before Party" upon Thursday evening, gave us an opportunity to have frolic meeting and greeting exhibitors and attendees from all above the world on the Artexpo exhibit floor. FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE To Anna Razumovskaya, whose beauty, talent and charm delighted the audience during the Live Artist Profiles. Her fairness and vitality were contagious, and the wondrous sultry Russian accent didn't impair either. OUT OF AFRICA To Onyeka Ibe, from Nigeria, whose spectacular paintings, combined with a warm and outgoing personality, charmed the numerous visitors who came and bought from his SOLO booth METALLICA To Jason Mernick, the heavy-metal award, pHis tremendous succes at the exhibit was diminished only by his exuberance and overall enthusiasm for the event THE FRENCH CONNECTION To Francois Calvy, from the Europe Art Selection, whose extraordinary and beautiful images reminded us that it really is a small world after all.
