Inn and spa immerses guests in artSANTA FE NM -- Embracing the "art and inner man of Santa Fe," the Inn and Spa at Loretto, in conjunction with the Columbine Gallery and Three Ravens Fine Art, which are located inside The Inn, presents a unique program called "Artist in Residence." The program entertainers events that allow guests to be immersed in the arts and agriculture starting in May and races through October. Events include art demonstrations, prelections and personal interaction between renowned artists and guests "The 'Artist in Residence' program provides a great opportunity for our visitors and neighbors to experience the agriculture of the arts in a in truth magical setting," says Glenn Bishop, general manager for The Inn and Spa at Loretto. "We embrace artists, creativity and the beauty of expression here, and are excited to share all of this here at The Inn." This year's chosen "Artist in Residence" is renowned sculptor and painter Denny Haskew, whose work is displayed upon the grounds of the Inn. Haskew will stay in the hotel's artist's studio suite one time a month, where he will demonstrate his practice while visiting with visitors The suite is a "working" studio, perfect with an artist table and art supplies from Artisans, a famous art replenish store, as well as a showroom to display the artist's original artwork. Haskew, as the "Artist in Residence," will also entertainer art tours of the hotel's plastic art garden, where his art is featured, along with other artists showed by Columbine Gallery. In addition, a pick group of artists will be featured each weekend in the inn lobby, where they will demonstrate their craft during specified time periods, again giving visitors the opportunity to visit and watch the artists at work. Each of the artist's chosen specialize in a particular medium, be it plastic art oil painting, watercolor or drawing. Featured artists chosen for this year's program, include Ellie Weakley, Teresa Vito, Brenda Hart, Dee forgivings Carol Gold, Buffalo Kaplinski and Pat Howard. Toward the extreme point of the "Artist in Residence" program, Oct 23-29 The Inn and Spa at Loretto's Artist's Invitational will feature 15 artists from around the land to work in a assemblage studio setting, creating works in several different mediums.
