Silverlake welcomes exclusive new art galleryobserves ANGELES -- Gallery owners David Freire and Juan Garcia announce the opening of Metro Gallery, a 1,500-square-foot space that features a combination of contemporary and fine art from around the world. As individual of Silverlake's largest art galleries, Metro Gallery will entertainer a grand opening reception upon Sept. 10 to introduce "Vistas de Soledad," an exhibit featuring more than 30 original paintings by the agency of Diana Best and Mary-Austin Klein end Oct. 7. "Metro Gallery is actual proud to feature the artwork of Mary and Diane," says Freire. "They are well-respected artists that have captured the central nature of the desert environment from one side their works. Known for her humorsome evocative desert landscapes, Best says, "As business became more and more computerized, my interests shifted to focusing upon the surrounding landscape with all its inherent drama and spatial vastness." Klein is passionate about promoting the beauty of fragile environments. "My compositions expres the tension felt underneath the landforms," she says. "The neighborhood of Teutonic force is in the brooding skies, the rich colors and looming mountains, which are lock opener elements in my paintings."
