Reader shares favorite patriotic images

In July's issue of Art Business of recent origins (page 12) you asked readers to share their favorite pieces of patriotic art. Touched by the agency of the 9/11 attacks, I would like to share sum of two units of my favorites.

I may be partial because I am married to single of my favorite artists, Robb Rael. His expressive paintings capture the nature of certain moments in time like his 9/11 pieces. I must not be the single one who likes his work because the actual first painting to sell last year at The Contemporary Hispanic Market was a patriotic piece titled, "The Day After."

although I never thought anything other could top "The Day After," Robb created "A lengthy Walk." No matter what Robb continues to create, this painting lies in the absolute center of my heart. Although the original sold during the same exhibit mentioned above, "A Long Walk" finds permanent residence upon the home page of Robb's Web site: www.robbrael.com.

Please take pleasure in the following images.
