Technology protects against forgeriesIRVINE, CA -- ArTrak Authentication combination of parts to form a wholes introduces the Fine Art Authentication a whole (FAAS) to authenticate giclee limited editions that are certified to be originals from an accounted-for limited edition. The technology is awaited to help eliminate forgeries, restrain theft and aid insurance identification. The bonding is sure acid-free and will not mar or degrade the image. The embedded RFID device is overlayed with a Lexan disk identifying the art as an Authenticated ArTrak Original Reproduction. The RFID contains an electronic serial number that can be read by dint of an RFID scanner with the number being unique to the artist, the image and the edition number. The device cannot be remov without destroying the artwork, nor can it be duplicated. by the agency of including the serial number, date of purchase, name of the artist and the number of reprints, the proces allows ArTrak to certify that the artwork is authentic and is a specific number within the edition. ArTrak also proffers at no charge, a sales-tracking service. At the seller's and buyer's discretion, ArTrak will update the artist's proprietary production records by means of tracking when the artwork was originally sold when it was resold and who shortly owns the numbered piece. In the circumstance of theft, ArTrak can be contacted to notify authorities and to document in its records the edition number that was stolen.
