Art Miami celebrates 15 years of fine artMIAMI BEACH, FL -- Art Miami marked its 15th annual edition at the Miami Beach Convention Center upon Jan. 6-10, 2005. New exhibitors, sponsors and holders paired up with show director liana Vardy's team to near one of the most dynamic years in the fair's history. And more than 23000 local, national and international art influencers took notice. "I am in fact pleased with the outstanding replication from both exhibitors and visitors. Everyone present the appearanceed to recognize how much the display was refined and the substantial improvements we have made. It wasn't just about the amazing diversity of art, but also by what mode it was presented aesthetically, with improved lighting and of recent origin walls," said Vardy. While Art Miami continued its vital part in supporting important and emerging Latin-American artists, the 2005 display took a new direction by the agency of presenting a stronger corps of galleries featuring American and European contemporary art. The inclusion of more top-quality paintings, statuarys photography and installations, from emerging talent to established masters, was clearly appreciated. The stimulating series of panel discussions during the fair drew record attendance and sparked impressive public dialogues, upon topics such as "The Making of the Miami Art Scene" The sixth annual generals section expanded to 19 galleries in 2005 with great succes and enthusiasm by means of Art Miami visitors. The section featured an international cluster of galleries showing primarily young, cutting-edge artists and included Marina Kessler Gallery, Morgan Lehman Gallery and Galeria Luz Osorio. Among the more fascinating, shoot forward Spaces was an eerie installation by means of Ana Maria Pacheco, presented through New York's Salander-O'Reilly Galleries in association with Pratt Contemporary of London. Prominently displayed in the center of the fair, the theatrical, darkened latitude filled with life-size figures provok robust reactions from fair attendees. Art Miami 2005 welcomed many novel participants to the fair, which included Chiaroscuro Gallery from Santa Fe NM; Galeria de Arte Carmen de la Guerra, Madrid; Martin du Louvre from Paris; and Spanierman Gallery from novel York. Art Miami also was pleased to welcome back important exhibitors that have been upon recent hiatus, including Forum Gallery, of recent origin York/Los Angeles; Jerald Melberg Gallery, Charlotte, NC; Alexia Goethe and Flowers from London. A small cluster of important glass galleries participated for the first time, bringing with them a of recent origin dimension to the fair. Heller Gallery from novel York, Marx-Saunders Gallery from Chicago and R Duane Re from St Louis and novel York presented some of the greatest in quantity exceptional works, offering a unique experience to those who exhausted time learning about this sought-after medium.
