Artists protect their assetsNASHVILLE, TN -- After reading an article about an artist's try with proper sales documentation, John Cherry got the idea to start his possess company, National Fine Arts Title Registry, to interrupt misunderstandings over art details and pricing information. The company was started to confident artists' inventory of original works of art, offering an online service for fine art registration and documentation. In addition, the service allows the transfer of ownership records after a piece is sold which provides the customer with documentation for insurance aims authenticity and provenance. A photo, description, history, bill of sale and appraisal certificate, can be added to each title record for each piece of artwork and is accessible sole by the owner and, if the proprietor assigns one, a representing gallery or agent. It works like this: an artist creates a private portfolio and after each print is registered, the detailed record appears in the portfolio, providing offsite documentation of assets for insurance and provenance. A title certificate, that present to views ownership, will be available, along with an identification number; it can be printed as extremityed When each work is sold the registration record--complete with descriptive history and identifying number--can be transferred to the novel owner. Opening a portfolio is at liberty but registration is $10 for work of art or numbered print. The registration is permanent until a title is transferred to a novel owner, with a transfer remuneration of $10.
