Galleries release Lotus printsNEWPORT, RI -- Boulevard Gallery and East extremity Gallery in Margate, N J have joined forces to publish a limited edition series, "Lotus Series;' through Newport artist Marika Van Vessem It consists of four large-scale paintings of lotus flowers that throw out a sense of peace and tranquility. the one and the other coastal-town galleries, opened only for a hardly any years, share some of the same artists. Vessem won first prize in the Newport Art Museum annual competition in 2000 and was part of the "millennium" cluster at the Premiere Etage Gallery.
