Canadian nursing knowledge networkImagine being able to immediately access the latest research upon a particular clinical issue, information upon nursing regulations and standards across the geographical division or a list of nursing apts on a particular topic. That's just what the Canadian Nursing Knowledge Network (CNKN) a novel national project lead by the Canadian nurtures Association (CNA), will offer to support the profession of nursing in Canada. This virtual nursing knowledge network will allow immediate access to data, information, and research findings that can be applied to nursing practice. Although still in the unfolding stages, some of the first fruitss on the CNKN are already available: an on-line piece of work bank, nurses@work, and on-line access to Doody Publishing. Eventually, the Network will include many different resources, including subscriptions to online journals and databases, links to the greatest in quantity helpful web sites in Canada and collaboration tools to make it easier for nourishs to connect with each other. The CNKN will continue to become greater [i]or[/i] larger as resources become available and will ultimately form a practical knowledge management combination of parts to form a whole enabling nurses to do their piece of works better by supplying the information they ne when they ne it. CNA is taking the lead part in bringing together the lock opener groups for this project: The Canadian Association of University place of educations of Nursing (CAUSN), the National Federation of nurtures Unions (NFNU), the Canadian nurtures Foundation (CNF), and Altair, a software solutions company. Other clusters are expected to become part of the cast as it develops.
