Concrete contractors: a very busy year: 2005 was the best year since the late 1990s

Last year was the best year through far since the boom of the late 1990 with concrete-related income increasing almost 20% for the CC100 contractors, l by dint of a 20% increase in receipts from commercial construction. Anecdotal reports indicate that growing in 2006 may not be quite that dramatic, on the other hand overall volume will remain at a real high level. The following are a small in number observations from our survey of 2005 financial comes in the concrete industry.

* Revenue: Total income for the CC100 contractors rose from $1208 billion in 2004 (which was an increase of 18% above 2003) to $15.48 billion in 2005 or a whopping 28% increase.
