Investment group acquires Franchise ConceptsST LOUIS -- Franchise conceptions Inc. (FCI), a franchisor of retail art and custom framing stores, has been acquired through an investment group led through Deck The Walls and The Great Frame Up franchisee Mark Ebling of St Louis. FCI possesss the brands Deck The Walls, The Great Frame Up and Framing & Art midst a national art and custom framing franchise in Canada. Together, the brands form more than 300 franchise stores. Financial confines of the acquisition were not announced. Ebling, a franchisee of more than 18 years with the one and the other Deck The Walls and The Great Frame Up has been named president and chief executive officer. FCI's former president and chief executive officer, John Jone is retiring, on the other hand will remain on the board of directors and retain a minority ownership position. Connie Williams will remain as chief operating officer; Steve Lowrey remains as head of franchise development; and Philip Campbell will be chief financial officer upon an interim basis.
