AFC members donate thousands to scholastic awards program - Art and Framing Council donate to The Alliance for Young Writers & Artists' Scholastic Art & Writing Awards - Brief ArticleBRENTWOOD Calif. -- Art and Framing Council members Cyro Industries, Nielsen Bainbridge and Framerica have donated thousands of dollars in art and framing supplies to The Alliance for Young Writers & Artists' Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. The donations benefited more than 200 winners of the award program. Several of the winners will have their work exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC as a part of the National Awards Celebration. The award program, which is make open to young artists ages 12 to 18 includes 90 regional competitions and the judging of more than 200000 works of art. a certain number of national winners receive cash awards and scholarships to continue their education at society or art school, and a small in number are selected to exhibit their work. The Art & Framing Council has exhibited a marketing campaign to support the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. In addition to the donations of framing materials by the agency of manufacturing members, the AFC also contributes 10 percent of its yearly collections to the cause in the form of scholarships and is launching a national advertisement campaign, featuring artist and actress Jane Seymour. The AFC accepts donations for the award program year-round and encourages retail framers and manufacturers to create programs to support the effort. Dave Rosner the senior vice president of marketing for Framerica, said the relationship between his company, the AFC and the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers is a profitable fit.
