Montreal museum exhibits Samir Sammoun - news, Marc-Aurele Fortin Museum - Brief Article

MONTREAL -- The Marc-Aurele Fortin Museum in Montreal will feature an upcoming retrospective of original oil paintings by the agency of artist Samir Sammoun.

single of Quebec's best-known impressionist painters, Sammoun is exhibited in the United States by dint of Marco Fine Art of El Segundo, Calif., which also publishes the artist's hand-painted uniques in editions of 200 pieces upon canvas.

The Samir Sammoun Exhibition will lay open on Nov.20 with a fundraising incident benefiting the Children's Hospital of Ste-Justine. The exhibit will then make open to the public and be upon display until Jan. 25, 2004 A catalog featuring more than 40 paintings from the retrospective will be published by means of the museum and distributed in the United States by dint of Marco Fine Art.

This is the next to the first time Sammoun's works have come intoed into the collection of a fine-art museum. His first of that kind recognition occurred last spring at the Plattsburgh State community Museum in Plattsburgh, N.Y.
