Howard Greenberg Gallery moves to Midtown - gallery news - Brief Article

of recent origin YORK -- The Howard Greenberg Gallery, popularly located in SoHo, has signed a lease for space in the Fuller Building, an Art Deco landmark at 41 East 57th Street

Construction upon the space is underway, and the stir is expected to take place in mid-September.The fresh space, at 6,700 square feet will dramatically increase the photography gallery's general square footage. Features of the fresh space will include a significant central gallery, private viewing expanses and state-of-the-art lighting, print storage and registration facilities, according to gallery officials.

"We outgrew the SoHo space a while ago," said holder Howard Greenberg,"and I was hoping for an opportunity like this to put in motion the gallery. Even though SoHo was my choice from the gallery's beginnings, I am now thrilled to be in the heart of Midtown."

The first works to be exhibited in the Fuller Building space will be selections from the personal archives of award-winning photojournalist Bruce Davidson.
