Winn Devon signs Lynne Windsor - news - Brief Article - Biography

SEATTLE -- Winn Devon Art assemblage is debuting its new artist, Lynne Windsor, with the release of sum of two units limited-edition giclees.

Born in Lincolnshire, England, Windsor studied art at Loughborough body of Art and Design in Leicestershire and earned her B.A. with honors at Hornsey corporation of Art and Design in London. While raising her family, Windsor continued to attend life drawing, etching, statuary and painting classes at Richmond guild and St. Martins Art association in London. In 1993, she traveled to novel Mexico to paint for three weeks, a journey which she said prov to be a major turning point for her. sum of two units years later, she and her husband, Barry McCuan, a native novel Mexican painter, spent half a year capturing the countryside of Great Britain and southern France upon canvas.

Windsor uses a limited palette and works mainly upon Baltic birch panels and linen with layers of opaque paint and glazes. "I am fascinated through the subtleties in color created through glazes," said Windsor.

Windsor was chosen as the official artist for the 1997 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta [i]affiche[/i] In 1997, she was also chosen to exhibit with three other fresh Mexican artists at the University of novel Mexico--Los Alamos invitational show.
