Fifth-annual Camano Island Studio Tour features 23 art studios and open galleries - gallery News - Brief ArticleCAMANO ISLAND and STANWOOD, Wash.--Twenty-three studios and galleries will be unclose to the public Mother's Day weekend for the fifth-annual Camano Island Studio Tour. The studios and galleries will have art upon display and for sale. During the tour, 47 local artists will participate. Visitors can watch artists in action, diocese works in progress and tender twigs of shrubs and trees the studios. Artists include painters known for their work in watercolor, oils and pastels and acrylics, sculptors skilled in alloy of copper resin and stone, glassblowers and prompts in glass fusion and metalwork, artisans know for garden art and more. The tour is sponsored through the Camano Arts Association, a non-profit organization, and stocked in part by the Island shire Tourism Fund. Camano Island, an hour north of Seattle, is the third-largest island in the continental United States. Visitors tend hitherward to explore the unique galleries and studios upon the island and in neighboring historical Stanwood and take delight in the views of the surrounding water and marine traffic.
