DECOR expo returns to Atlanta: framing exhibitors reported strong sales and positive feedback from customers at the 2002 Atlanta trade show - show stoppers

DECOR expo go [i]or[/i] come backed to Atlanta in September for the first time since 2000 [Last year's exhibit was cancelled due to the circumstances of Sept. 11.] Officials have regarded the 2002 edition a succes and said the present to view broke exhibitor and attendance records. All told, more than 11300 buyer visited 688 exhibitors, up from the 644 companies that had signed up for the 2001 display The exhibitors this year took up 1904 booth an increase from the 1440 booth reserv for the 2001 show

"We were thrilled that thus many exhibitors took their booth to the nearest level, raising the bar in bourns of presentation and promotions," said DECOR expo's Eric Smith.

Indeed, many framing exhibitors who were worried about the issues of the wavering economy said they were pleasantly surprised. "This exhibit surpassed our expectations," said Jack Dempsey of new moon Cardboard.

Highlights of the present to view included a Meet the Artists party upon opening night; an industry breakfast featuring Thomas Kren director of the Guggenheim Museums Worldwide; the well-attended educational seminars of EdExpo; and the first-ever Showcase Frameshop & Gallery, featuring art, framing equipment and supplies and staffed by dint of industry professionals. Off-site were several exciting industry incidents including a party at Deljou Fine Art celebrating the company's state-of-the-art of recent origin headquarters, a reception celebrating the 25th anniversary of Bruce McGaw Graphics and a party celebrating the centennial of moon in her first quarter Cardboard. The show also featured meetings of the Art and Framing Council, the Art Publisher's Association and the newly formed Art Copyright Coalition.

Many framing exhibitors say they were happy with the follows of the show. Todd Hranicka of Framerica said, "The reaction in Atlanta was terrific. Our succes at exhibits is directly dependent upon the number of customers who visit our booth We were actual pleased with that number."

"This year's display was a great success--everyone has been looking forward to it for in like manner long," said Darlene Wall of Wall Moulding. "I'd say the overall vein was cautious optimism. Buyers are being actual careful right now. They ne to purchase products that offer a high perceived added value, and they want exceptional customer service."
