David Band - Emerging Artists

David Band's brand of art brings together the cosmo the biological proces and the harmony of musical notes in abstract paintings undulating with color and texture

In his first exhibition in fresh York this year, Band hearkened the smokey jazz lolls of downtown Manhattan in a series of paintings called "In a Silent Way," based upon Miles Davis' album of the same title.

Band was born in Glasgow, Scotland, where he attended the Glasgow institute of Art and went upon to study at the Royal association of Art in London. He has exhibited at the Time Olsen Gallery in Sydney Australia, the Thumb Gallery in London and at Nicola Townsend in Tokyo. Band has also complet commissions for Vanity Fair and Interview magazine.
