Exhibitors, attendees get back to business at Artexpo NY - The scene

of recent origin YORK -- The 24th edition of Artexpo fresh York in March featured the booth of more [i]or[/i] less 500-plus exhibitors who were visited through 39,780 attendees. Though the exhibit was smaller, both attendance-wise and size-wise than in 2001 the overwhelming feedback from the present to view was that business was indeed finally being done.

First-time exhibitor Gary Mitchell of Christa Kieffer Studios said he was thrilled with the flows of the show. "I was personally real impressed with the size and quality of the show" he said. "Overall we felt we were given a warm welcome as of recent origin kids on the block and we appreciate it."

Highlights of the display included a keynote speech from Holly Moore of the Yankelovich Monitor, a more expanded seminar schedule and several tributes to the victims and families of the World Trade Center tragedy.

Other highlights of the present to view included "Home is Where Your Art Is," an exhibition and unrestrained consultations with interior design professionals about designing with art; "Celebrity Masks," an eBay auction and display of hand-painted masks from artists and celebrities; and a display of a series of paintings from former President of southern Africa and world humanitarian Nelson Mandela.
