Southwestern art comes to Canada with River Coyote Gallery - gallery News - Brief ArticleMISSASSAUGA, Ontario--A novel art gallery, the River Coyote Gallery, lately opened its doors in a location 20 minutes west of Toronto. The 1,500-square-foot gallery was designed with a Southwestern motif and features work from artists from the one and the other Canada and the American Southwest. Included in the gallery's offerings are originals, limited-edition serigraphs and giclees and alloy of copper sculptures by such American artists as Charles Pabst, seek after Krzyston, Bob Boomer, Don Hatfield and Marilyn Simandle. "I am a longtime admirer of Southwest art and believe its qualities transcend geographical borders," said Don Bell, holder and director. "It's great to be working with a certain number of of the best artists from the Southwest and introducing their art to a whole novel market." Canadian artists featured at the gallery include Gaston Rebry Jacques Poirier, Armand Tatossian, Elaine Mercier, Lise Lacaille, Claude Tremblay, Christian Maltais and Marjolyn van der Hart.
