Southwestern art comes to Canada with River Coyote Gallery - gallery News - Brief Article

MISSASSAUGA, Ontario--A novel art gallery, the River Coyote Gallery, lately opened its doors in a location 20 minutes west of Toronto. The 1,500-square-foot gallery was designed with a Southwestern motif and features work from artists from the one and the other Canada and the American Southwest.

Included in the gallery's offerings are originals, limited-edition serigraphs and giclees and alloy of copper sculptures by such American artists as Charles Pabst, seek after Krzyston, Bob Boomer, Don Hatfield and Marilyn Simandle. "I am a longtime admirer of Southwest art and believe its qualities transcend geographical borders," said Don Bell, holder and director. "It's great to be working with a certain number of of the best artists from the Southwest and introducing their art to a whole novel market."

Canadian artists featured at the gallery include Gaston Rebry Jacques Poirier, Armand Tatossian, Elaine Mercier, Lise Lacaille, Claude Tremblay, Christian Maltais and Marjolyn van der Hart.



The gallery also showcases earthen ware from the Mata Ortiz section of Mexico and provides services, of that kind as custom framing and corporate leasing.
