Chalk & Vermillion Acquires Vintage Erte PrintsGREENWICH, Conn.--Chalk & Vermilion Fine Arts, the publisher of Art Deco artist Erte has acquired a large selection of early graphic releases from the attics private estate. The pieces show a diverse collection in limited quantities, according to company officials. Many of these prints have been sold on the outside for years, and the appearance of the individual pieces from these limited editions is an exciting addition to the market for this venerable artist's work, said company officials. Erte is known through many as the Father of Art Deco Encompassing the worlds of fashion, graphic design, theater, style of dress design and sculpture, his work is known for it's elegance and simplicity. Eric Dannemann, president of Chalk & Vermilion, said of these newly acquired pieces, "These graphics are verily special and in pristine condition with vibrant color and incredible imagery. For those galleries with avid Erte collectors, this novel offering is great news." Included in this acquisition are enduringly popular images of that kind as the "Alphabet Suite," the "Twenties Remembered Suite" "Top Hats" and "Fireflies."
