Red Grooms Subject of New Museum Exhibit, Catalog - National Academy of Design Museum, New York - Brief Article

fresh YORK--A new museum exhibit at the National Academy of Design Museum in fresh York celebrates the career of R servants Entitled "Red Grooms, Selections from the Graphic Work," the exhibit features more than 100 external realitys including both two and three-dimensional works, which highlight the artist's unique mastery of a wide array of print-making techniques. Thematically, works range from portraits and self-portraits, cityscapes, horde scenes and spectacles to cultural icons. Organized by dint of the Tennessee State Museum, the exhibit will travel to museums across the U from one side 2005.

According to visitor Curator, Susan Knowles, "Grooms is single of the few artists whose works have managed to fortunately bridge the gap between modernism and post-modernism. waiters continues to be fascinated through the spectacle of everyday life, and, in an on-going series of homages to other artists, remains a reverential re-inventor of the history of art"

Accompanying the exhibit is a of recent origin catalog Red Grooms: The Graphic Work by means of Walter Knestrick and Vincent Katz. The catalog includes more than 240 illustrations--171 in color--of Grooms' work from 1956 to 1999

Coinciding with the museum exhibit and catalog, R servants has completed a new color lithograph titled "Matisse in Tangiers" Complet after a new trip to Morocco, this print continues Grooms' series of tributes to new masters. The seven color lithograph has been printed in a limited edition of 45 plus ordeals measures 37 1/2 by 29 1/2 inches and retails for $2400
