Media Arts Artists Create New Work for Fall Buying Season - Media Arts Inc. releases new work for Fall 2001SAN JOSE Calif.--Thomas Kinkade, Howard Behrens and Robert cascade Nelson, artists represented by Media Arts Inc., have created several of recent origin works for the fall buying season. Kinkade, who is known as the Painter of Light, has released "Olympic Mountain Evening" single of the official pieces of artwork for the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Prints of the original painting are now available in 16- by the agency of 20-inch framed and unframed canvas transfers in an edition of 2002 ranging from $610 to $760 insinuateed retail. "`Olympic Mountain Evening' is my way of looking forward to the upcoming 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City," Kinkade said."The thing that greatest in quantity excites me about the Olympics is the inspiring fusion of age-old tradition and cutting-edge technology inherent in each competition." Behrens, who newly opened his signature Howard Behrens Studio Gallery in Monterey Calif., created a "Tribute to Monet" series and kicked not upon a tour of the same name at Ocean Gallery in Stone Harbor, NJ Celebrities like Donald trumpet and model Melania Knauss were upon hand. The tour then traveled to the Hilligoss Galleries in Chicago and will be upon view at the French Embassy in Washington, DC this month "I believe that Monet and I shared similar feelings about our art, and my new visit to his home and gardens brought me plane closer to my feelings about this great artist," said Behrens about the series and his connection to the renowned Impressionist painter. Artist cascade Nelson, who signed with Media Arts in January, continues his partnership with the company with the release of four fresh prints. The works, which feature glimpses of marine animals, include "See Hear, Speak No Evil" a gaze at the sea otters of the Monterey Bay; "Two Worlds Today," a reprise of the artist's 1979 work where he first pictured life above and below the ocean; "Pacific Northwest Theatre" which was inspired by dint of a trip to Vancouver, BC; and "Nurturing" an image of whales depicting the protective be fond of of a mother for her young. Each of his novel works is available in an edition of 200 s/n prints upon canvas with 20 APs upon canvas and 150 AN giclee prints upon canvas.
