It has been said over history that"a picture is worth a thousand words" Obviously, judging from this issue of our magazine, we at Art Business freshs couldn't agree more.

For the past hardly any years, we've watched the demand for photography skyrocket Auction houses are selling photographs for astronomical prices, and galleries are finding that adding photography to their mix of art holdings has a positive impact upon sales. In fact, ABN's novel Perspectives on Printing (POP) scan showed that of the 80 percent of galleries that carry art beyond prints, 48 percent carry photography. And the face of trade exhibits and art fairs is also changing--nowadays, it's for the use of all to walk the aisles of a display and see fine art photographs upon display. At ABN, we've been inundationed with requests to provide more coverage of the photography market from artists, publishers and galleries alike.
