Spotlight On Deljou Art Group - Brief Article

ATLANTA--At the Deljou Art assemblage growth isn't just a priority--it's a way of life. And this philosophy couldn't be more evident than with the opening of the company's of recent origin 75,000-square-foot facility that encompasses an entire city stop in the up-and-coming art and design center of mid-town Atlanta.

The fresh facility, which will debut this month with an opening party during DECOR Expo--Atlanta, is housed in an aged Crisco margarine factory. (The company will be providing shuttle services from its exhibit at the present to view to the new building). It will house artists' studios, individual of the largest gallery spaces in the U administrative and sales offices, a flaming facility, a print-making facility and an outdoor plastic art garden. "We're going with the theme `Art is better than Margarine'" jok Daniel Deljou president. In all seriousness, Daniel thinks the of recent origin facility will just enhance what is already a thriving business that got its start more than 20 years ago.

Daniel started the company in the '80 as a photographer looking to publish his work. He partnered with his brother, Kamy Deljou to start Serigraphie Art Publishing Company, and they base success publishing serigraphs, which were a novelty to the market at the time. "It was a novel medium, and we were promoting that medium as a form of art in and of itself." explained Daniel. "Interestingly, we are single of the few publishers around today who started as print makers, not a gallery."

The Deljou brothers sold the business after a not many years, created a new company called Graphique du

Jour and printed, published and distributed serigraphs from one side the 1990s. Six years ago, the Deljous move rounded that business into the Deljou Art clump and today the company carries the work of more than 50 painters, photographers and sculptors, serving a nationwide trade clientele of galleries, art consultants, decorators, and interior designers. The company has certainly evolv from its start as a print maker 20 years ago. Today, 80 percent of the business involves one-of-a-kind originals upon paper and canvas. And the company's novel location will house a giclee-printing facility, in order to "produce the best-quality printing there is," explained Daniel, who has been developing and providing these printing capabilities for other publishers. "In everything, we are known to bring out great quality work with terrific customer service. We have a great inventory and can always invest the demand for our work."

Along with the novel facility, the company is evolving in many other ways as well by the agency of developing several new programs for its clientele. Perhaps its greatest in quantity popular program has been the Gallery Program, through which clients can become the exclusive representative in their area of a top-selling Deljou artist. The program was initiated and grew nationwide with the top-selling artist, Emanuel and is now also available other popular Deljou artists like as Yunessi, Thomas McCoy, Niro Vasali, Ivan Reye Mindeli and Sebastian Alterera.

Deljou has also introduced the Free-Look program to the industry, through which customers are sent a lightweight, easy-to-carry-and-ship portfolio of art to review and from which they can make purchase selections. This way, clients can review their artwork in someone use it for presentations, make the selection to suit their throw and return the remainder to Deljou

Deljou also plans to expand the company's statuary offerings due to the stretchs in architecture and interior design. "In an interesting way, architects are becoming the biggest enemy of art dealers," Daniel said. "They design houses and buildings with thicken glass and open space and eliminate a fate of wall space. We trust to capitalize on this stretch by creating more free-standing art."

The company is also accommodating the cubicle design space increasingly prominent in many office buildings with its Art Linx line of art. These are small, modular pieces that can be hung alone or in an attractive grouping that links the color and web of one piece to another.

Information about the Free-Look Program, Gallery Program, fresh inventory and more can be accessed from one side the company's free, trade-only Web site at www.deljouartgroup.com.
