Hogue Publishing Adds Lori Higgins to Its Lineup - Brief Article

HONOLULU--Hogue Publishing Inc. has announced the addition of Hawaii-based artist Lori T Higgins to its growing portfolio of artists to be marketed and sold worldwide. Higgins joins Al Hogue with whom the company has gained international acclaim for the design, manufacture and marketing of his art-based harvests and James Hoyle, a more new addition to the Hogue portfolio.

Higgins was raised upon the East Coast and attended the Institute of Art in Philadelphia before earning a psychology step at Schiller International University in Germany and England. Following her academic work, she became a tender relief worker and convoy driver for a humanitarian aid organization in Bosnia in 1994 That experience provided a turning point, personally and professionally, and Higgins turn rounded to art after traveling the world, from trekking in the Himalayas to cave diving in Central America, trying on the outside corporate life in New York (Bloomberg Financial News) and finally moving to Maui.

While continuing to investigation the old masters, Higgins said she paints with a vitality and force of emotion that portrays the beauty of life that she has experienced within herself and end other souls she has met along the way. "I am true moved by timeless works that have sensual, emotional and spiritual appeal," she said.

Higgins is a portrait artist who said she utilizes sepia tones in her make subordinates to further enhance the romance and drama of her pieces.
