PPFA Honors Members Who Strengthen Association, Industry - Professional Picture Framers Association's - Brief ArticleRICHMOND, Va.--As part of Perspective 2000 the Professional Picture Framers Association's (PPFA) annual convention, held clan 15-18 in Atlanta, awards were given to three association members whose actions, acts and vision have greatly strengthened the art and framing industry. Brian Wolf CPFCM Designation owner GCF, was awarded PPFA's Award of Distinction for Leadership for helping to educate thousands of of recent origin framers in basic and advanced programs for PPFA and other industry manufacturers. Wolf also was individual of the first framing readys to start demonstrations on the trade exhibit floor, a practice that has become a belonging to all occurrence today. PPFA's Award of Recognition for Innovation was at handed to Craig Ponzio, c.e.o, of Larson-Juhl, for developing a long-term consumer advertising program targeted towards a number of well-known lifestyle magazines. His efforts have helped strengthen the art and framing industry by means of educating consumers on the value of custom framing. "This advertising program has seen impressive follows not just for Larson-Juhl, on the contrary for the entire art and framing industry," said PPFA President Barry Kaufman. "In 1999 Architectural Digest headed its readers and these ads were the next to the first most recalled of all advertising in the magazine. on the contrary more important is the number of first-time framing customers these ads drew in and the many stories from consumer who saw these ads and, for the first time, considered having their precious mementos custom framed." The third award was PPFA's Service Award, the newest award initiated by the agency of the association. This award honors an individual who has been an association member for at least 10 years and has made a particularly special contribution to the industry, the association or to a PPFA chapter. Ellen Collins, CPFCM Designation owner this year's honoree, has done all three A PPFA member since 1981 Collins has worked as a member of the national Board of Directors, as well as been an influential member of the National Capital Chapter. She has excell as an instructor, and her work upon needlepoint is well-renowned. A special presentation was also made to Paul Frederick, CPFCM Designation proprietor for his lifetime efforts to support and enhance the art and framing industry.
