The PCAOB lays out its ambitious, wide-ranging plans for coming year

Officials at the Public Company Oversight Board unveiled an aggressive agenda for the coming year that may flow in as many as 11 novel standards for auditors in areas ranging from corporate fraud detection and reporting, to wrestling with related-party transactions.

The oversight body's of recent origin standards-setting priority list was outlined during a meeting last month of the board's Standing Advisory assemblage - a panel of quicks from industry, government, the investment community and the accounting profession created to assist the board in creating of recent origin standards for auditors.
