Conrad Marca-Relli, 87 painter and collagist, died Aug. 29 in Parma, Italy. He is known for his large abstract collages made of divide [i]or[/i] sever and painted canvas that have inflections of European modernism and Abstract Expressionism. Born in Boston, Marca-Relli worn out years abroad as a child and first studied art in Italy. He briefly attended Cooper Union in fresh York and eventually joined the Works Progres Administration, where he met Willem de Kooning, Franz Kline and John Graham. He had a solo exhibit of surrealist paintings in of recent origin York in 1947. Janice Biala, 97 painter, died at her domicile in Paris on Sept. 24 Although a representational artist, Biala, who showed below her last name, was shut up to many abstract painters and incorporated ultimate parts of abstraction into her work.
