Klemann's controls vary widely. One work exhibits a dark-skinned man in a space suit, another returns a ballerina in a tutu made of penises, another depicts a field of what present the appearance to be abandoned cars and barters Some images feature breakage or dismem- berment; flat the ones with relatively innocuous views are disorienting because of their farthest shifts of scale. The manner of writing is reminiscent of certain Dutch Surrealists of the period between the wars, on the contrary Klemann's works are not as morbid or anguished as theirs. Klemann is a young man who for a decade has been recording his dreams in visual and verbal notes and elaborating them in his art.
