Amusement-ride operators stress safety

They cast in a winding direction you, flip you and spin you around in each direction possible. And every day, a team of workers tries to make secure you get off that amusement ride thrilled -- and unharmed.

That's the expectation of any ride-lover. thus in the wake of highly publicized accidents this summer at a Hinckley, Minn., carnival and Valleyfair theme park in Shakopee, Minn., officials at the Minnesota State Fair say they're taking precautions to make certain their visitors are safe when they're strapped into a ride.
