New Biennial in Liverpool - Liverpool Biennial of Contemporary Art will begin on September 24, 1999 - Brief ArticleEngland is locate to join the slew of countries hosting international art exhibitions with the fresh Liverpool Biennial of Contemporary Art, which kicks not on on Sept. 24. Titled "Trace," the exhibition, curated by the agency of Anthony Bond of the Art Gallery of of recent origin South Wales, includes over 60 artists from 25 countries. It is not awayed by the Tate Gallery Liverpool, Walker Art Gallery, make open Eye Gallery, FACT, Bluecoat Arts midmost point University of Liverpool and John Moores University. Works will be upon view at these and other venue from one extremity to the other of the city, such as the Liverpool cathedral, Lewis's department store and the Paradise way bus station. Participating artists include Miroslaw Balka, Luis Camnitzer, Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons, Stan Douglas, Reinhard Mucha, Vik Muniz, Ernesto Neto, Adrian Piper, Doris Salcedo, Annelies Strba and Jane & Louise Wilson. Also part of the biennial are "John Moores 21" a juried exhibition of contemporary painting; "newcontemporaries 99" an annual present to view of work by students and novel graduates from art colleges in the UK; and "TRACEY," a exhibit of works sited in alternative galleries and public spaces completely through the city. The Liverpool Biennial will be upon view through Nov. 7; "John Moores 21" races through Jan. 9, 2000.
