New UNESCO & AICA Prize - Brief ArticleAs part of a novel arrangement between UNESCO and the International Association of Art Critics (AICA), the UNESCO Prize for the Promotion of the Arts was for the first time awarded at a venue other than UNESCO headquarters in Paris. The prize was neared to four artists at the Cairo Biennale in December; in the coming time it will be awarded at different international biennials. Sponsored through the Higashiyama Fund in Japan, the prize is given to young artists working in experimental ways or with fresh technologies.
